Song of the Innocents

Stuart Wilde

Here is a song I did the lyrics for. The music is by Larry Hogan and David Lord. We all worked together on the first Celtic Myth album called, The Voice of the Celtic Myth with the Shining One’s song that some of you may remember.

                 Blue Planet

This song here is a very sweet, quirky song— a song sung by children about the Pole Shift, the lyrics are funny and eerie at the same time. Here they are:

Listen to Song of the Innocents

“Song of the Innocents”  (Album: Creation, Greenwood’s second Celtic Myth album)

Two suns high in the east

Snake bites Coma Berenice*

Flip flop the little kids say

Wilde tribe going their way...

Flip-flop losing the moon

Maybe happen real soon

Flip-flop the little kids sing

Watch now everything spin...

Two suns high in the east

Snake bites Coma Berenice*

Flip flop the little kids dance

Mannan’ Mac's** humming a trance...

Shine, shine having some fun

Snowman in noon day sun

Flip-flop the winter's here

Strange thing for the time of year

Waves rise high in the sky

Magic keeping us dry

Flip-flop the little kids dance

Mannan’ Mac's humming a trance

Splish-splash having some fun

Tick-tock coming undone

Splish-splash the little kids play

Grown-ups losing their way

Winds rush over our heads

All night, safe in our beds

Hip-hop the little kids dance

Mannan’ Mac's humming a trance

Shine, shine having some fun

Snowman in the noon day sun

Watch now the winter's here

Strange thing for the time of year

* Coma Bernice is a constellation in Leo. Its name means ‘Berenice's Hair’, and refers to the legend of Queen Berenice II of Egypt, who sacrificed her long hair.

**Mannan’ Mac’ is short for the Irish God Manannan Mac Lir, (sometimes written Lyr) from the mythical Tuatha De Dannan.

He was the ocean God that took the prince little Lugh away and trained him to come back and fight and defeat the evil forces of the Formorians, who were sometimes depicted as having the body of a man and the head of a goat, like Baphomet.

Mannan’ Mac’ was a teacher of small children that is why the children sing about him with glee in the song. (sw)

About Track 5: The Song of the Innocents

(from “Creation”: The second Greenwood never-released Celtic Myth album)

Creation was made in late 1999-early 2000, but I never got it out and released it because things started to change very rapidly in 2000 and I didn’t have time to work on it.

But we’ll now have it out and released in three months or so.

It has a very beautiful touch to it, it’s so very moving. It tells the story of the Tuatha De Dannan Gods who, as the legend says, came out of Africa (Ethiopia) and travelled to Ireland in our prehistory.

So it is an “out of Eden” storyline. (sw)

P.S. I’m making a page of the best of Stuie Wilde’s songs with my personal ten favourites:

Sweet Freedom’s Kiss, Our Time Has Come, The Love of a Silent Moon, The Shining Ones etc, and a track or so from my latest

“The Mystery of the Sacred “O”...

Which like all music alums it is will out ‘soon’—tee hee. Well soon-ish. (sw)

Hello Stuart,

The lyrics are wonderful and fun. However, I can't get the link to play the song, so I haven't heard the music yet. I've tried a couple of browsers and no joy.

Celtic Myth is on my heavy rotation list, and has been since Verno gave me a copy. Definitely looking forward to the latest album. =)

That is real spooky, yet I feels safe at the same time.
Kinda like Christmas. Its real scary unless there are children around to lighten the mood.

I like it, Stu, that you do not detour from influencing the kids awareness of a shift. You give them the gift of a vision that there's is a world of nothing to fear and that life is good.

They have an advantage on us if, at an early age, they are told to pay attention to consciousness. They might be able to get past what most adults bequeath to them -- which is our own neurosis and fears.

Reminds me of another great one for the children,

Carlos Santana's....'Hey now all ya children keep your lights on... Better keep your lights on Cause theres a ...'

thank you,
nuse

Thanks Stuart and Jim for re-upping the song straight to the website.

Just now heard it and it's brilliant! Between your words, Stuart, and Larry & David's music, it's simply stunning. Definitely on my "get it now" list. =)

Great song, the part about "Snake bites Coma Berenice" made me think of a dream I had a few nights ago, I dream about snakes alot.. and starngly I have long hair, although in the dream the snake didn't bite me. However yestersday for some reason the random thought of cutting my hair jumped into my brain, I wondered " what would I look like without hair, I bet I would look kinda strange! Then I thought about people who cut their hair for locks of love and wondered if I had enough to do that, not that I think I will seriously cut my hair all off it was just a passing thought... but your song made me remeber it. strange.

Awesome, the lyrics are beatiful, fun and wonderful...children will benefit with lots of smiles and the inner child in us will renew the remembering of a long lost dream

"Oh i know were come along way...where changing day to day...but tell me, where do the children play..." Cat Stevens song "WHERE DO THE CHILDREN PLAY"

Can't remember the album which it came from, yet those words sparked into mind when reading your post.

many cheers

Dear Stuart, Your song is lovely and very reassuring. Thank you for sharing it with us early. I have always had concern for the children. But it sounds like you've got them covered.

Warm Hugs, I too am a Cat Stevens fan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjdVOfnYkyA

Hope families and friends that reside in Melbourne Vic. escaped the fires in Wislon prom...as seen in visions posted in Australian fires last week... hope predictions warning were early for loved ones to save homes or remove themselves from the area....

Dear Stuart,

A way where the adults found no way, a place of safety, where we delight in change and in seeing what is - it brings tears to my eyes. The music is perfect and the spirit of it is astounding. I am here with my grandchild on my lap. Her name is Ananda Rose.
