Hinterland, British Columbia

Snow Job

I went to the hinterland of British Columbia, Christ knows why? Parking can be a problem if you are delayed in the shop...

Arrows pointing to the clouds

A man comes round and shovels the street signs out of the snow so everyone can keep to the regulations properly.

The snow gets stacked at the end of the street til the end of June...

Depression seems a bit of a problem. I was in a cafe with the hippies having breakfast and quite soon I felt like slashing m' wrists....the scrambled tofu was good ...
but it must be hard surviving the winter here, how the old pioneers did it I have no idea.

I decided to take some smelly kids to WaldMart. I haven't been in a WaldMart for ten or fifteen years. It was really exciting to see what people buy nowadays.

Kids and candy

I gave the kids $40.00

each to buy candy and

chocolate...fun for them eh?

I have never done a Western Union wire so decided to send myself a $100.00 just for fun. The large lady behind the counter "Loretta" with the "Welcome to WaldMart" plastic tag was beside herself with fury!!

Western Union fun

She wanted my phone number for the W' Union form. I told her I was a gypsy traveler from Ireland and I had a horse and caravan but no phone. She got even more angry.

Still....I managed to send the wire to myself it cost $113.00 so WaldMart made $13.00 out of Loretta's diligent services.

I met some ladies pushing kids in buggies. I told them I was with MGM and we were auditioning kids for a "Smelly Kids" competition ($1000.00 first prize for the smelliest child ) andcould I sniff their kids and see if they might be eligible to enter.

Woman in the red dress

Some of the people here wear funny clothes...they think Dolce & Gabbana is a type of Italian ice cream.

{ This outfit was labeled "Holiday Party Dress. Eek!
I think I'll keep working and scrub the holidays for now! }

D&G outfit

This is a nice outfit from the

             D&G collection. Niemann

             Marcus sells D&G.
